Vote NO on the SAVE Act

To: Sen. McCormick, Sen. Fetterman

From: A verified voter in Allison Park, PA

January 29

I'm writing as a constituent to urge you to vote NO on the SAVE Act. It is a thinly veiled attempt at voter suppression that will unfairly limit voting access of women, minorities, and people of lower socioeconomic status. Voter ID laws have consistently proven harmful to democracy, by limiting the access of voters to elections, even when they are legally eligible to vote. The citizen documentation requirement would create major barriers, given that 1 in 10 eligible voters lack access to proof of citizenship documents. Voting is a right, and must be protected and made easy and equitable to access for all eligible citizens. A true democracy wants ALL eligible voters' voices to be heard. Please help preserve this right by voting NO on the SAVE Act.
