Published reports indicate that some are messaging the president-elect in support of a proposal to eliminate so-called free programs sponsored by the government. Think of the I.R.S. program offering free direct-file for taxpayers. Why should citizens be required to use paid commercial services? We must work to ensure these free services are maintained. It is incumbent that you be mindful of the fact that you and the government serves the people. Please use the full power of your office to speak out in opposition to ending free government services.
