Household peeps of Congress please introduce this NATIONALLY: A BILL - NATIONAL MANDATE FOR ALL 50 STATES To make it federal law that all federal, state, local, and tribal correctional systems shall provide mandatory medical intake screening and immediate treatment, to prevent death from detoxification. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the "No One Should Die Detoxing - National Mandatory Intake Act." SEC. 2. NATIONAL APPLICABILITY. This is a federally mandated Act and shall apply in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and all U.S. territories. It shall be binding on the entire judicial system and Department of Justice systems at both federal and state levels, including all federal, state, county, city, and tribal jails, prisons, and detention centers, whether publicly or privately operated or receiving federal funds. SEC. 3. MANDATORY LAW - BLOOD AND URINE TEST UPON BOOKING. (a) Within 24 hours of booking into ANY jail or prison in the United States, it shall be mandatory federal law that qualified medical staff conduct: A blood test for alcohol and controlled substances; A urine test for alcohol and controlled substances; A clinical withdrawal risk screening. No person shall be held without this intake. SEC. 4. MANDATORY LAW - MEDICALLY SUPERVISED TREATMENT WITHIN 12 HOURS. (a) Within 12 hours immediately upon blood and urine results, if positive or indicating risk, it shall be mandatory federal law that a medically supervised injection treatment plan and detox protocol is made available immediately to the incarcerated individual. (b) Treatment must be provided by a professional team using: Scientifically validated, holistic, and successful non-addictive pharmaceutical treatment strategies for detox; Clinical psychological support; A virtual team designated by http://America.gov to ensure coverage nationwide. SEC. 5. NATIONAL TRACKING AND ENFORCEMENT BY DOGE. (a) DOGE [Department of Government Efficiency] is designated by this Act to track and ensure all departments are following this federal law. (b) DOGE shall audit all facilities, maintain a national compliance database through http://America.gov, and ensure no financial conflict of interest in testing or treatment. (c) This system shall be funded by state and federal governments. SEC. 6. FELONY FOR NON-COMPLIANCE. Failure of any facility, administrator, or official to comply with Section 3 or Section 4 of this Act shall be a violation of federal law. If such failure is knowing and willful, it shall constitute a felony punishable by law, subject to federal criminal penalties, civil fines, and loss of federal funding. SEC. 7. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act shall take effect as federal law 180 days after passage and applies nationally.
