I am very pleased by the results of the 2026 midterms. But the work is only beginning. I want change. The American people clearly want change. We want action on healthcare, affordability, ending the Iran War, no longer supporting the genocide in Palestine, and holding the Trump administration accountable. We also want change in leadership. Democrats won the midterms not because of Senate leadership, but in spite of it. Chuck Schumer is out of touch and represents the politics of old. Change means change and it starts with changing Democratic leadership. We need a new, energetic Senate Majority leader to navigate whatever chaos Trump causes over the next two years.
