California is a sanctuary state. The law is that our law enforcement people cannot interact with ICE under any circumstances. (Are local police officers who do not abide by this law ever punished?) Why then do people who are being released from jail get immediately transferred to ICE by the CDCR? Why isn’t this practice of doubly punishing people who have served their time for whatever crime was committed, being stopped. How come neither the governor or the senate or the assembly are willing to exercise their power to force CDCR to stop this horrendous practice?
