Oppose Bill Pulte's appointment as Acting Director of National Intelligence and commit to rigorous congressional oversight of his security clearance and every action he takes in that role. Pulte is a real estate executive with zero background in intelligence, national security, or law enforcement. Putting him in charge of 18 intelligence agencies and making him the president's top intelligence adviser is a direct threat to national security.
This isn't just about qualifications. At his prior post as housing director, Pulte used his office to pursue unsubstantiated fraud allegations against Trump critics — a clear pattern of weaponizing independent agencies for political ends. Because he was appointed in an acting capacity, he can hold this position for up to 210 days without Senate confirmation. That is 210 days of unchecked access to the nation's most sensitive intelligence. Congress must act now.
