I understand that Senators Elizabeth Warren, Ron Wyden, and Jeff Merkley, as well as Representatives Val Hoyle, Suhas Subramanyam, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have introduced a bill called the Stop Corporate Takeovers of Physicians Act. I am writing to ask you to support it. This bill ensures health care decisions are made by physicians, not corporations. Corporate entities often assume control over clinical operations, management and staffing decisions, and billing and coding practices, all of which can exert pressure on physicians to change care delivery. I want you to support the Stop Corporate Takeovers of Physicians Act, which ensures health care decisions are made by physicians, not private equity firms, insurance companies, or other corporate actors.
