You have an opportunity to join with other Senators to take back the power for Congress to review and rescind tariffs! Right now the President is able to bypass Congress and unilaterally invoke tariffs which are crashing our stock market, leading us into a recession, crushing business and causing our country to be seen as a global pariah! 5.2 million protested in anger this weekend, Oklahoma City had their largest protest yet! Folks are angry and par of their anger is with you for failing to speak up! For defending the indefensible! For treating this as business as usual! Do you really think Oklahomans will re-elect you if you continue to fail us? Do you think we won’t notice that you remain silent as our lives get tougher! Even the staunchest of Republicans in rural Oklahoma that you could always bank on won’t support you! Not while they lose their farms, their healthcare and their social security! Of course you can continue to keep defending what’s happening and perhaps some will believe you until they lose their farms, can’t put food on the table and lose their jobs! Some might suppose you until their social security check doesn’t arrive because the system is being assaulted! You can bet that you can do what you’ve always done and stay with the party line! Except some of your party are getting smart and seeing the writing on the wall! Those Senators may have careers in the future! If you don’t stand up for Oklahomans as our economy tanks and life gets harder, I wouldn’t bet on you having a career in the future! We need Senators that work for us- not billionaires or billionaire corporations! Your $100 plate dinner won’t save you! We see that you cater to those with money and can’t be bothered having a town hall for all of us! Don’t think we don’t notice! Either do your job and stand up for us or don’t count on all of us giving you a job in the future!
