I am writing to you today with a level of anger and heartbreak that I never thought I would feel toward my own government. I am demanding that you fulfill your oath of office and take immediate, aggressive action to stop the unconstitutional and murderous conduct of federal agents from ICE and CBP currently operating in Minneapolis. In the last three weeks, we have witnessed the state-sanctioned killing of two American citizens: Renee Good and Alex Pretti. These were not "terrorists" or "violent criminals," as the current administration’s propaganda suggests. Renee Good was a mother of three. Alex Pretti was a dedicated ICU nurse at the VA, a man who spent his life saving American veterans. Available video evidence from bystanders—and even the agents’ own devices—shows a horrifying reality: these citizens were targeted while exercising their First Amendment rights. The administration’s claims that Alex Pretti was an armed threat are directly contradicted by multiple video angles showing agents tackling him, pepper-spraying him, and removing an object from the scuffle before opening fire on a prone, defenseless man. This is not law enforcement; this is an execution by an untrained, unaccountable paramilitary force. Your silence or "concern" is no longer enough. This is an executive overreach of the highest order, and it is anti-American to its core. As my representative, I expect you to be a better person than the cowards allowing this to happen. I am demanding that you: 1.. Publicly Acknowledge the Truth: I demand that you view the verified bystander footage of the Pretti and Good killings and publicly acknowledge the truth and call out the lies being told by the DHS and the White House. 2.. Defund the Surge: Vote against any and all funding for the Department of Homeland Security that facilitates these "enforcement surges" in our cities. 3.. Demand an Independent Investigation: Support the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension’s efforts to investigate these killings. Federal agents are currently blocking state authorities with search warrants; this is a subversion of the rule of law that you must condemn. 4.. Legislative Oversight: Launch immediate Congressional hearings into the Rules of Engagement being used by ICE and CBP agents against American civilians and protesters. How many more innocent people have to die before you find the backbone to stand up to this administration? The blood of Renee and Alex is on the hands of every official who has the power to stop this and chooses not to. Step up to your duty. Get justice for Renee and Alex. Stop this tragedy before another citizen is murdered in our streets. I await your immediate public response.
