An Open Letter

To: Sen. Johnson, Sen. Baldwin, Rep. Steil

From: A verified voter in Pleasant Prairie, WI

April 12

I have listened to Speaker Johnson today, vilifying American citizens of Guatemala and Hispanic heritage. This is speech. my youngest daughter is legally adopted from Guatemala and has been carried her American passport since she was 11 years old based upon advice, we were given here in the county of Kenosha due to the ICE raids that were being conducted. That was eight years ago ago. Things have not passed. Things are not better. They are not 15 million illegal aliens who look like my daughter flooding over the border. You know this is a lie. Those who support the lie must stop. Those those who defend the truth must get louder. I see this move to try to make Americans prove that their citizenship so they can vote as just another method to repress votes since it would appear Republicans can not win any other way. Nothing you do is going to stop the free and fair access to the ballot box. The Republican back hate speech against the Hispanic communities in America is going to end in violence, and all of those innocent lives will be on the heads of every Republican, who did not call this out for what it is . Racism.
