Remove and investigate flock cameras

To: Rep. Neguse, Sen. Hickenlooper, Sen. Bennet

From: A constituent in Erie, CO

November 16

Flock cameras have been proliferating all over the front range without any approval or input from the citizens they are surveying. The data collected has been repeatedly used in ways the company and local government claims it would/could not be, and significant security issues have been revealed by civilian investigators like Benn Jordan. These cameras need to be removed and/or disabled until a thorough audit can be conducted of the company, technology, and government use. I cannot leave my home without being tracked by a private company that I did not consent to. This is further exacerbated by Flock's recent deal with Ring to combine video data to create what is effectively a social panopticon run by private corporations with little to no oversight. These networks are violating citizen's right to privacy and at the very least, transparency.
