Political Overreach Onto Campus

To: Gov. Huckabee Sanders

From: A constituent in North Little Rock, AR

November 19

Meddling in what universities are and aren't allowed to teach is a bad look. It's, in fact, a look that screams fascism and the denial of the first amendment. It's not as if students are being forced to take courses in queer studies--they're electives. They're courses that students who want to be there will take. This is not indoctrination or woke ideology. This is young adults who want to see themselves reflected in the world college is preparing them for. You have a bachelor's in poly sci and even that doesn't seem to be serving you particularly well. Until you have a graduate degree, doctorate, or otherwise show yourself to be qualified for an administrative position at a university, stay off of our campuses and away from our academia.
