A military parade would be an unnecessary expense and burden on the city's infrastructure, especially for someone who did not serve in the military themselves. As taxpayers, we should prioritize funding vital services and programs over costly celebratory events. I urge you to reconsider allocating public funds towards this parade and instead direct resources to more practical needs that benefit all citizens. Damaging roads and causing disruptions for a display of military might seems misaligned with responsible governance and fiscal responsibility.
