Denying retirement pay to transgender service members who have dedicated over 15 years of honorable service is a brazen attempt to bust their union and further marginalize an already vulnerable group within the ranks. These vindictive policies not only disregard years of sacrifice, but undermine military readiness by driving out capable troops and fostering discrimination. Allowing this unjust denial of earned benefits sets a concerning precedent that military personnel policies can be corrupted for purely ideological reasons rather than addressing true matters of national defense. We must reject this discriminatory agenda masquerading as policy reform.
