This year, New York had a historic responsibility to stand up to Trump’s devastating cuts to essential services. The budget's final revenue package failed to answer this call. • No solutions for the 470,000 New Yorkers who will lose Essential Plan healthcare on July 1  • No action for 300,000 who depend on food assistance through SNAP • No comprehensive, statewide taxes on the rich and corporations  People will die because Governor Hochul prioritized a tiny band of wealthy donors over millions of working-class New Yorkers. Shame on Governor Hochul. We are watching and we won’t forget.
