February 28 Zelenskyy - Trump Meeting

To: Sen. Schiff, Rep. Obernolte, Sen. Padilla

From: A constituent in Apple Valley, CA

March 1

Please continue to voice your support for Ukraine after President Trump embarrassed our country by placing responsibility for future conflict on Ukraine. The President's words today did not reflect mine. Many Americans in a war Ukraine has been fighting for three years, sacrificing her soldiers, watching people die, man, woman, and child. If World War III occurs, the responsibility will be clearly laid at Donald Trump's feet. This is an attempt to appease Putin like Neville Chamberlain did with Hitler in 1938. Mr. Trump is taking a huge gamble taking the side of Russia in this unjust war. Congress, as a body, should be doing more than writing strongly worded letters. We need to stave off Russia's aggression. We need to show the world the United States is still a world power. Our president is trading our military strength, our soft power, and our reputation to enrich himself. He wishes to establish himself as a monarch, which is something we fought against in the 1770s. Do not let the American Experiment die. Not here. Not ever. Protest. File suit. Spread the word. The United States' power rests with the people. We elect representatives to help us, not help themselves. Please do something. I'm afraid that there is little time before Mr. Trump takes full control of the government. If he does, you might as well quit, or get on your knees to him. Thank you. I hope that I can see a future for America and her people. It's getting dark. You should be the light.
