The United States of America boasts wealth beyond most countries’ dreams. We’re also somehow food and housing insecure. Our government is currently spending millions of our tax dollars to purchase and repurpose warehouses for use as ICE detainment centers while simultaneously telling WE THE PEOPLE that there is no money for healthcare, no money for free school lunches, no money for housing. If it’s OUR money, why are we not spending it on OUR problems? Undocumented immigrants have coexisted with us for centuries. They have never been a problem. Why are we focusing our money on problems that don’t exist instead of solving the problems that do? Put our money back into US. Defund ICE and provide necessities to our residents. Demand action now!
