As a constituent, educator, parent, and citizen of Texas, I'm writing to urge the Texas lege and Attorney General Paxton to pull out of the 504 lawsuit. As an educator, I have served many students with 504 plans, sat in meetings with parents and fellow educators, all in service to help these students succeed academically in spite of a mental or physical disability. IDEA and 504 are pillars of accessible public education, which I believe in wholeheartedly as an American citizen. Urge Ken Paxton to pull our state out of this shameful, discriminatory lawsuit and save this great state from any more embarrassment.
