I am deeply concerned about illegal detention of Columbia student activist Mahmoud Khalil by DHS, and now ICE. He is a legal immigrant with a green card who has been targeted because he was exercising his American right to free speech. This is an assault on the first amendment and I ask you to please stop this from happening. This is a test to see what limits we’ll accept to our free speech. We cannot allow it. Please do everything you can to get him released right away to his family in the U.S., and his green card returned to him. Thank you.
