I urge you to use whatever power at your disposal to stop the construction of a physical border wall, including vehicle barrier systems, in the Big Bend region. The area is full of ecologically delicate plants and animals, particularly in the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge and Big Bend State and National Parks, where the Black Bear and the elusive Ocelot thrive. There are historic buildings that may be destroyed too, such as the Ruidosa Church. Preserving what makes Texas great is a nonpartisan issue!
