Protect Survivors, Not Politicians. Appoint an Epstein Special Counsel.

I am writing as a constituent profoundly disturbed by the systemic conflicts of interest paralyzing the federal investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking network. The unyielding goal of our justice system must be to secure accountability for the survivors—the young women trafficked, abused, and silenced for decades by a network of wealthy, powerful men. True justice cannot be achieved as long as this investigation is managed by individuals who prioritize political protection over criminal accountability. In July 2025, the very officials responsible for investigating the Epstein human trafficking machine convened inside the White House Situation Room. Investigative reports confirm this meeting was not called to pursue Epstein’s co-conspirators, but to coordinate damage control and shield Donald Trump from the fallout of the impending Epstein estate file release. Consider the blatant conflicts of interest regarding the three individuals most responsible for executing justice in this case: - Former Attorney General Pam Bondi: The then-head of the DOJ, structurally responsible for overseeing all federal prosecutions related to this network, was personally present in the Situation Room managing political fallout rather than maintaining neutral justice. - Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche: The current leader of the DOJ, who previously served as Trump’s personal criminal defense lawyer, used the meeting to discuss ways of politically protecting his former client instead of executing transparency. - FBI Director Kash Patel: The head of the nation's premier investigative agency—who should be actively dedicating field resources to hunting down Epstein’s surviving co-conspirators—was instead utilizing his position to contain a public relations crisis. This is an absolute mockery of independent justice. If local law enforcement huddled with a suspect's former defense team to spin a case, they would face immediate criminal charges for obstruction. At the federal level, it should not be tolerated. Because of these catastrophic failures of public trust, I urge you to take immediate action: 1. Demand an Independent Special Counsel: Call for the immediate appointment of an outside arbiter completely removed from the DOJ and FBI chain of command to oversee the entire Epstein co-conspirator investigation. 2. Oppose the Confirmation of Todd Blanche: Blanche must not be confirmed as permanent Attorney General. From participating in the Situation Room damage control to his recent attempt to establish a $1.8 billion "anti-weaponization" settlement fund for Trump, Blanche has shown a consistent pattern of prioritizing personal loyalty to his former client over the independent duties required of the nation’s chief law enforcer. 3. Pursue Impeachment Inquiries for Kash Patel: I urge you to initiate impeachment proceedings against FBI Director Kash Patel for abusing his office and directing law enforcement resources toward political damage control rather than the neutral execution of justice. Survivors have spent two decades fighting a system that heavily favors bottomless legal budgets and political protection. Please use your office to ensure our federal law enforcement agencies are weaponized against predators, not used as a protective shield for the powerful.
