I am one of your very concerned constituents and an active voter, asking you to stand up for public education in Texas and vote against Senate Bill 2. I am included in the majority of Texans who do not support a voucher system and am alarmed at the proposed funding for education. This imbalance between public and private funding will further the gap of opportunity for marginalized students in our state and strip away accountability. We need a well educated workforce in our great state and that begins by investing in our local communities and neighborhood schools. I am asking you to step up for our future and a fully funded public education system and vote against any voucher measures.
