America Needs Courage from Congress: Our health, our children, our future

To: Sen. Fetterman, Rep. Scanlon, Sen. McCormick

From: A constituent in Wayne, PA

April 6

I write to you today with urgency and hope—hope that you will choose to stand together to protect the foundational principles of our democracy, and urgency because the consequences of inaction grow heavier by the day. We are witnessing increasing overreach by the executive branch—actions that bypass the checks and balances our Constitution was designed to uphold. These actions threaten not only the balance of power, but the very people who rely on you the most. Children with disabilities need you. They depend on policies that protect their right to learn, to be included, and to thrive. Families depend on you to ensure access to quality education and health care. Scientists depend on your leadership to uphold truth, research, and innovation. The American people depend on you to protect our freedoms, our voices, and our votes. This is not just about politics—it’s about fairness. It’s about equity. It’s about standing up for what is right, even when it is difficult. Your courage now will shape the future of this country. We need you to speak up, act boldly, and hold the line. We need you for our children. We need you for health. We need you for science. We need you for democracy. We need you for fairness. We need you—for America. Step up. The nation is watching.
