I am writing again to urge you to end the catastrophic failure that is this Republican administration’s Iran war. The Strait of Hormuz has been closed since February 28, choking off 20% of the world's oil and even more of its fertilizer. Congressional Republicans continue to refuse to rein in this administration’s actions in Iran. After nearly six months, this has become the Republicans’ war. In not stopping it, the Republican party owns it. This disastrous, endless war will be your legacy. Congress has constitutional authority over war powers. You and your colleagues must use it. Hold public hearings with administration officials. Demand the full text of every agreement the administration has signed with Iran. Reassert your constitutional oversight before this quagmire gets worse. My wife and I urge you to force an end to this war before more American soldiers are killed or injured, and before more Americans suffer the growing economic hardship this unnecessary war is causing
