I write today to ask you to do everything possible to exert Congress’s legitimate authority over military action taken by the United States. Invading a sovereign country and kidnapping its leader, no matter how evil that leader may be, violates international law and gives permission to other international bad actors to take similar actions. Congress must rein in the Trump administrations’ unconstitutional actions.
