Protect Medicaid funding for vulnerable Americans
To: Rep. Feenstra
From: A constituent in Sioux City, IA
July 3
Cutting Medicaid funding would be detrimental to the health and well-being of millions of vulnerable Americans, particularly women, children, and LGBTQ individuals. The proposed cuts in President Trump's American Health Care Act threaten to strip away essential health care coverage that many rely on, including long-term care services that allow seniors and individuals with disabilities to afford nursing home care. Medicaid provides affordable access to preventive services, reproductive care, mental health treatment, and services specifically tailored for LGBTQ patients. Maintaining robust Medicaid funding is crucial to ensuring these at-risk populations, as well as the elderly and disabled, can access the quality care they need without facing financial hardship. I urge you to oppose any measures that would reduce Medicaid's comprehensive coverage and jeopardize the health of your constituents.
