As a constituent and member of the LGBTQ+ community, Nancy Mace's use of a slur during a committee meeting is deeply unacceptable and dehumanizing. This kind of societal rot has no place in the government, and I call on my elected representatives/senators to censure her. The rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people are not partisan, and I expect so much better from my government. Do the right thing and denounce, and censure, her to keep this hate out.
