I woke up this morning to the news that the Senate voted in the middle of the night to advance $70 billion in funding for ICE and Border Patrol — using a budget reconciliation process specifically designed to cut Democrats out. I am furious, but thankful you voted no. This isn’t about border security. This is a blank check for the same agencies that shot and killed two American citizens in Minneapolis earlier this year, with no accountability and no reform. Democrats have been right to demand changes before handing over any more money, and I’m asking you to hold that line. Please do everything in your power to fight this as it moves to the House — and keep speaking out loudly against it.
