I am writing to you today to demand the immediate resignation of Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. This demand echoes the recent sentiments expressed in an opinion article by Senator Bernie Sanders, who argues that Secretary Kennedy's actions are endangering the health of the American people. ​Secretary Kennedy has used his position to wage a "war on science" and promote misinformation and conspiracy theories, particularly regarding vaccines. These views have been repeatedly rejected by the scientific community. His leadership has led to significant turmoil at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including the recent resignation of senior officials who have cited his anti-vaccine policies and the spread of misinformation as their reasons for leaving. ​We need a leader at the Department of Health and Human Services who supports public health and respects scientific expertise, not one who undermines it. Secretary Kennedy's continued service is a danger to the nation's health, and he must step down.
