I am writing to demand immediate and decisive action to end the destructive presence of ICE in our communities. As your constituent, I am outraged by the ongoing harm inflicted by this agency. The recent street-level violence in Minneapolis is not an isolated incident but a direct consequence of an enforcement regime that instills fear, shatters families, and makes our neighborhoods less safe. This cannot continue. We need more than statements of concern. We need action. I demand that you: 1. Publicly and unequivocally call for the removal of ICE from our communities. 2. Immediately tour detention facilities within our state to witness firsthand the conditions endured by those held there and report your findings to the public. 3. Co-sponsor and vigorously advocate for legislation that defunds ICE’s deportation force and transitions its functions to agencies focused on actual community safety and justice. Your role is to represent the safety and well-being of every person in this district. I expect you to use your full authority to stop the terror ICE creates in our community. I will be watching your actions closely and sharing your response with my network.
