Please Strike Section 219 from the FY2027 NDAA

To: Sen. Murray, Sen. Cantwell

From: A constituent in Fall City, WA

July 23

I am writing as your constituent to urge you to strike Section 219, the "United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative," from the FY2027 National Defense Authorization Act. Section 219 would permanently embed Israeli defense technology into the U.S. defense supply chain. By doing so outside the annual appropriations process, it removes the regular congressional review and oversight that every other element of our defense spending receives. Decisions of this magnitude belong in the open appropriations process, accountable to the public, not locked into a permanent framework that Congress cannot revisit year to year. I ask you to oppose Section 219 and to support its removal from the FY2027 NDAA, and to make your position public before the floor vote. Please tell me where you stand. Thank you for representing us.
