I am a registered voter in Fort Wayne. I have a daughter with Down Syndrome and a son with an intellectual disability. We depend on Medicaid for therapies, respite care, and camps for people with disabilities during the summer to keep them strong and growing between school years. Medicaid pays for medical tests, equipment, and medicine that our insurance doesn’t cover. To lose these services would be a complete disservice to the entire disability community. I ask that you carefully review the consequences of the republican budget before approving the cuts that are to be made to the citizens that voted you into office. Thank you for your time today.
