OPPOSE Cuts to Medicare - Do NOT extend tax cuts for Wealthiest!

To: Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley

From: A constituent in Plattsburg, MO

June 10

I am writing to express my strong opposition to cuts in Medicare. Though I’m not on Medicare (yet), most of my friends are and it’s their ONLY health insurance. If there were waste and fraud in this program, I would expect that it would have already been investigated. That’s your job 😊 To include these cuts at the last minute in an attempt to offset huge tax cuts is disingenuous. I’d strongly recommend, as I have done in numerous emails which you have not answered, remove the tax cut extensions for people making over $10 or $50 or $100 million. We all know the tax cuts benefit the very wealthy. It’s not a spending problem to cover healthcare for the elderly, it’s a stubborn resistance in refusing to ask the wealthiest to pay their fair share. My question is – WILL YOU OPPOSE cuts to Medicare and WILL YOU refuse to extend tax cuts to the VERY WEALTHY? I DO expect an answer – without further delay.
