I am writing to urge you to support an independent investigation into Attorney General Pam Bondi's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files and to hold the Department of Justice accountable for what appears to be a deliberate obstruction of transparency. The DOJ released over 3 million pages from the Epstein investigation in February 2026, but according to Rep. Robert Garcia, the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, this represents only 50 percent of the files and violates the committee's subpoena from summer 2025. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche is using exemptions for ongoing investigations and inter-agency communications to limit disclosure under the Epstein Transparency Act, despite the Oversight Committee's subpoena containing no such carve-outs. This selective release suggests a coordinated effort to protect co-conspirators rather than deliver justice to survivors. Survivors of Epstein's abuse deserve to know what the DOJ knows about the men who participated in the abuse and trafficking of women and girls. We have already seen accountability begin with consequences for former Prince Andrew and Larry Summers following earlier document releases. The widespread public interest in this case, spanning all political affiliations, demonstrates that Americans demand full transparency and accountability. I urge you to support legislation requiring the DOJ to comply fully with congressional subpoenas without exemptions, to call for an independent investigation into the Attorney General's role in withholding documents, and to ensure that all Epstein files are released to expose every co-conspirator. The integrity of our justice system depends on holding powerful individuals accountable, regardless of their connections. Survivors and the American people deserve nothing less than complete transparency.
