Resist Immigrant System and Explotitive Practices by Private Prisons and Global Corporations
Private prisons and global corporations are profiting immensely from the current administration aggressive immigration polices that involves to mass deportation. Prisons not just in US, but also other countries such as El Salavador has oppressed certain human rights and made them work for labor for few cents to nothing, depending on their polices. It is dangerous, inhumane, and we are supporting them. Global corporations such as Amazon, Wal-Mart, McDonald's, as well as international companies are also benefiting from this that once the immigrants are deported, they were “rehired” for lower pay than they usually get, no benefits, and so on. The goal is to keep them scared and penniless to rely on those in powers. This is illegal and inhumane. This is not who we are as a superpower as US, and it has been happening before this current administration that slavery evolved into different terms to hide that we are still doing modern slavery.
We should abandon our current immigration policies to something more comprehensive, collaborative reforms that allows respect and dignity on all human rights. Human rights are inalienable, universal, and it should not be taken away based on countries or culture. We should make a reform that creates a fair path to citizenship that is motivated by compassion, freedom, and love, not by greed and power. Power is meant to be shared, not hoarded.
Thank you
