Elected officials and all government workers should not be allowed to use X to make official communications. The centralization of communication under Elon Musk's control raises legitimate concerns about potential conflicts of interest, lack of transparency, and X being utilized as an anti-government tool by its owner against democratic principles of open discourse and accountability expected from public institutions. Preventing the use of X for official purposes upholds the integrity of governance and protects against the consolidation of undue influence or censorship over vital civic dialogue.
