I’m your constituent and I’m contacting my Senators to demand that you oppose H.R. 1, the budget reconciliation bill. This bill will cause millions of people on Medicaid to lose access to health care. It also includes harmful cuts to other vital government programs. Specifically, I’m VERY concerned about: 1. The cuts to Medicaid! 2. The cuts to student aid. 3. The cuts to federal worker retirement benefits. 4. The defunding of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.  5. The roll back of the Inflation Reduction Act's urgent climate-focused programs. 6. The cuts to SNAP. 7. The insane attacks on federal regulations. 8. The limit on federal judges’ ability to hold the Trump administration accountable. (What in the checks-and-balances is this nonsense?!) Congress should pass a fair and responsible budget that helps working families and communities, not one that slashes our benefits to fund tax cuts for the wealthy. Don't bow down to billionaires, stand proud with the people!
