I’m not sure why you are fighting extending the ACA subsidies. The ACA is wildly popular and a simple extension through 2026 paired with appropriations to reopen the government isn’t a big deal at all. The reason the public is now blaming republicans for the shutdown is because you are fighting the extension of a very popular program. Just do your job, extend ACA subsidies and open the government. This isn’t very difficult and you can be a hero.
