Father David Gierlach on IG: "The president of the United States spent some 7 hours excoriating the judge who had the good sense and courage to simply apply the law to Trump’s vanity project by naming the Kennedy Center after himself. Attacking this judge personally and naming his wife and encouraging his supporters to “Fight, Fight, Fight!”…words that are troublingly familiar with the results that they have brought. This is an impeachable offense because he is demonstrating his inability and unwillingness to uphold the laws of the United States. His constant grifts and corruption of accepting emoluments in all kinds of forms from powerful, private and public figures around the world is an impeachable offense. His murder of 200 people now blowing them out of their boats because supposedly they are drug running without any evidence and despite the fact that drug running is not a capital offense is an impeachable offense. On a daily basis, this man shows his not only utter disdain for the rule of law, not only his utter incompetence but his insistence that he stands above the law, that the law does not apply to him. Congress, get your act together. This man needs to be impeached. He needs to be convicted. He needs to be removed. And this needs to have happened yesterday. Let’s not let him continue the destruction that he is engaged in on our democratic republic. God bless us all."
