I’m writing to urge you to follow Massachusetts’ lead and require insurers to cover all vaccines recommended by the Kentucky Department for Public Health. With growing concerns that the CDC is being politicized or weakened, I worry that vaccines like COVID-19 or Hepatitis B might not stay federally mandated for coverage, even if they’re still recommended by Kentucky health experts. This policy would make sure Kentucky families are protected, no matter what’s happening at the federal level. It’s a proactive step to safeguard public health and ensure no one is denied vaccine access because of insurance gaps.
