Vote No HB399

To: Rep. Kennedy, Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee

From: A constituent in Draper, UT

February 6

As an educator, HB399 would limit what public schools and teachers are able to teach about essential life skills that students need to succeed in school and as adults the Bill risks students well-being and efforts to teach teen mental health, suicide prevention and unhealthy social media use. Starting at age 5 up to age 18 other than parents teachers are the most impactful influence in a child's life next to their peers. Why would we want to be eliminate a successful curriculum and support that help students build resilience strengthening, relationships, and thrive in school the workplace and in the community? If you disagree, I highly recommend that you come to a school and see these things in action. Please vote No!
