Dear Governor: Peaceful protest is a constitutional right—not a trap for data harvesting. I’m calling on you to issue an immediate Executive Order banning the use of cell-site simulators at protests unless: – There’s a credible, documented threat, – There’s a warrant, – And there’s transparency about every single use. If you believe in the free speech of your constituents and citizens, protect it. Dear state reps: If you won’t introduce a bill banning protest surveillance, then you’re not standing up for your constituents—you’re standing in the way of the Constitution. WHY THIS MATTERS RIGHT NOW Because right now, while folks are holding signs and chanting for freedom, somebody in a van down the block is collecting their phone signals—not because they’re criminals, but because they dared to show up. That’s not public safety. That’s digital intimidation. That’s a direct violation of their constitutional rights. This is the government stating: Your voice means nothing once we decide it’s inconvenient. Your presence becomes a threat the moment we feel challenged. Your Constitution stops protecting you when we’re the ones being protested. That’s the real message. It is meant to scare you into obedience. It is meant to keep millions from showing up. Power. Unchecked. Undisguised. But we are not gonna stop exercising our rights. We’re demanding accountability. Oversight. Limits. Law. Because any government that can surveil a peaceful protest without a warrant can silence our constitutional rights next.
