To the Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States, and All
It may concern; I am writing as a citizen regarding Article one section nine clause seven of the Constitution. It states that no money shall be drawn from the treasury except by law, and that a regular statement and account of all public money receipts and expenditures shall be published from time to time. “From time to time” in plain language and in the digital age we live in means here and now, not months later. Yet every state and federal office publishes spending reports long after the fact, if at all. This hides how my tax dollars are used until it’s too late to hold anyone accountable. I request the Court clarify that this clause requires real time public disclosure of all receipts and expenditures, down to the penny, as they occur. The technology exists to post this instantly online, like a live ledger. Citizens should not have to wait for news reports or audits to learn if public funds were used improperly. We deserve full transparency now, not delayed summaries. Please enforce the original meaning of this clause for the people. Respectfully, A citizen of the United States
