Reject Voter Suppression Bill, Protect Our Democracy
To: Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley
From: A verified voter in Belton, MO
April 10
The SAVE Act would impose unnecessary and discriminatory voter restrictions that disproportionately disenfranchise millions of eligible voters, particularly those from communities of color, the elderly, young people, those with disabilities, and Americans living abroad. This deeply undemocratic legislation mandates strict voter ID requirements, limits voter registration opportunities, and makes it harder to obtain and submit mail ballots. Enacting such suppressive measures would undermine the fundamental right to vote and erode faith in America's electoral process. I urge you to reject this harmful bill and instead work to expand access to the ballot for all eligible citizens. Protecting and strengthening our democracy demands measures that make it easier for every voice to be heard, not new obstacles that silence the people.
