This student loan situation is such a mess! I am on PSLF, and my last qualifying payment is supposed to be in October I was told last month that payments I continued to make during administrative forbearance would count toward my qualifying payments. I continued making payments. Yesterday I was told those payments won't count and I will have to apply for buyback, with no guarantee they will count. And I tried to get off the SAVE program by applying for a different income based repayment plan. But all processing for changing payment plans is stopped until further notice. There is no off ramp, and no way to get back on schedule. If Trump wins, he has promised to kill all loan forgiveness, including PSLF. Many of my friends are also in limbo and we are all feeling frustrated and anxious. Please do what you can to help us find a way out of this.
