I am writing to urge you to support the Global Sumud Flotilla that is sailing to Gaza to provide humanitarian aid. As you well know, Palestinian civilians are experiencing devastating preventable famine while continuing to be attacked. Children are starving to death. It is the responsibility of government officials to use this flotilla to pressure Israel to allow full aid to enter Gaza. And to stop the ongoing brutality and obtain a permanent ceasefire. The majority of the U.S., including the constituents you represent, want the U.S. to stop sending weapons to Israel. We do not want our taxes to be used to starve and bomb children. I urge you to advocate for the safe, uninterrupted passage of this flotilla, as well as an end to both the genocidal actions of Israel and U.S. involvement in enabling this genocide.
