I am writing with deep concern over the actions of President Donald J. Trump, particularly the sweeping new tariffs he has imposed, which are already causing severe and widespread economic damage. In just 76 days, President Trump has destabilized markets, sent the stock market into a free fall, and shaken global confidence in the United States. His dismissive response, that “sometimes you have to take medicine,” shows a stunning disregard for the financial well-being of millions of Americans. These policies are reckless, unnecessary, and deeply harmful to our economy, our credibility, and our allies. I am calling on you to act immediately: 1. Revoke Trump’s tariffs to prevent further economic fallout and protect American businesses and consumers. 2. Begin impeachment proceedings. The damage already inflicted in this short time is unprecedented. From economic sabotage to a pattern of authoritarian behavior, it is clear this President is unfit to lead and poses a serious threat to our nation’s future. Congress must not remain passive. The time for action is now. We cannot afford to wait and hope things get better. The American people deserve responsible leadership, and that starts with accountability. I urge you to take a stand for our economy, our democracy, and our future.
