I am writing to urge you in the strongest possible terms to vote NO on the nomination of Emil Bove to the federal bench. His nomination is not only inappropriate—it is dangerous for our democracy. As reported by CNN and corroborated by former federal judges from across the political spectrum, Bove’s record reveals clear disqualifying factors: a pattern of extreme partisanship, deeply concerning ties to efforts to overturn the 2020 election, and a lack of judicial temperament required for a lifetime appointment. His involvement in advancing Donald Trump’s anti-democratic legal agenda should immediately disqualify him from any role that demands fairness, impartiality, and fidelity to the rule of law. Confirming Bove would send a chilling message that those who use the legal system to subvert democracy will be rewarded—not held accountable. Our courts must remain independent and above political gamesmanship. Bove’s appointment would undermine public confidence in the judiciary and deepen the politicization of our justice system at a time when trust is already hanging by a thread. Please stand up for judicial integrity. Please reject Emil Bove’s nomination.
