I want to urge you to ask yourself what ICE is doing for the fabric of this nation. More than anything, ICE is adding FEAR to the American way of life. It profiles us on skin color and accent. It has shown that it will hurt and kill American citizens. Not to mention how cruel and inhumane it will be to undocumented people. Is this the country you want us to live in? If you vote to continue funding ICE, your vote is perpetuating this dystopian reality that is FAR from what our Founding Fathers had in mind. Do not try to argue that what ICE is doing is protecting our borders from criminals. Do not try to convince me that all the people that have been deported were criminals because there is NO EVIDENCE for that. I urge you to be moral and to defund ICE so that we don’t have to surrender our personal freedoms and our peace of mind in the name of a fictional sense of security.
