My name is Jennifer Perez and I live in Pueblo. I’m writing to you today to urgently ask you to support Senator Ed Markey’s bill to extend the TikTok ban. TikTok has changed my life and connected me with a community that supports my mental health, has helped me explore new hobbies, and has helped me learn about the world around me. The Supreme Court has not ruled on the TikTok ban, and TikTok has the right to find out if the ban is constitutional. Depending on the Supreme Court ruling, they will then decide how to proceed, but they must be allowed a chance. Even if the Supreme Court rules the ban should take affect on Sunday, 19 January 2025, I urgently urgently ask that you support and Senator Markey’s bill. I understand that you may have supported the original ban bill because it was included in an aid package and I support you voting for the package. Now I urge you to support this sympathy on a ban. 170 million TikTok users and 7 million small businesses, including my husband, small business, cool beds for pets who are on TikTok to grow their business. A band would devastate the economy and infringe on our first amendment speech right please. Support Ed Markey’s bill.
